antsy pantsy

i find three wandering around.

at first i thought i was imagining things.

surely not. it can't be. it's just a coincidence.

and another one comes out. and another. and, oh, there. another one.

okay. wat the hell. i've got ants coming out of my laptop. i'm not kidding.

why the fuck do i have ants coming out of my laptop? i'm guessing it's getting a bit hot in there and they're all coming out to escape the furnace. i'm a little worried.

they don't tell you in the handbook, wat to do if ants start to live in your laptop.

*sigh* the strangest things happen to me sometimes.

merrilicious christmas

i haven't had a good christmas since i was a kid. this year, i did.

i can't believe it's over already. i love christmas for the christmas carols, food fests, gift shopping, wrapping, giving & receiving presents and most of all, the gatherings.

what made this christmas good:
- receiving cool presents eg. polaroid camera - thanks G!!
- preparing christmas eve dinner
- christmas shopping with my baby
- costume parties
- excessive eating

i don't think i've ever had so much lamb in so little time. not complaining. not complaining at all!!

new year's coming up next. no one seems to have any solid plans. wat to do, wat to do?

how do couples decide who to celebrate new years with? his friends or her friends? i'm always celebrating occasions with his side. when's it my turn?

i'm not drinking... for a year.

thanks to ty, mili and dave.

cam, dave, mili, ty, alvin, paul, clarence and i went to bar club. i'm guessing the owner couldn't think of a name.

the combination of champagne, whisky, tequila, some apple liqeur shots and a flaming led to my rapid downfall. by the end of the night, i had to cling on to alvin so i wouldn't fall flat on my face.

"don't let me sit down."
"because... if i sit down, i'm going to pass out."

ty was a darling and hosed down the toilet for me so i could share my dinner contents with the toilet bowl.

i had a great night. thanks all!!

alvin and i were talking about getting a jigsaw puzzle to keep ourselves entertained.

he: "where are we going to put the jigsaw puzzle?"
me: "what do you mean?"
he: "like when the kids come over."
me: "huh? just shove it under the bed."
he: "how?"
me: "the jigsaw puzzle comes with a frame, right. you just put all the pieces on the framed board and move it la."
he: *amused look* "only the kids puzzles come with frames, okay."
me: "oh. *pause* really? well that's how long it's been since i've done a jigsaw puzzle!"

busy little bee

for once in my life, i can't wait for christmas to be over.

every year, our company throws a christmas party.

every year, a group of people are selected to be part of the committee responsible for organising the party.

but this year, we were only given two weeks to organise the entire she-bang. i was unfortunate enough to have been selected to be part of the committee in charge of decorations and design.

having to:
- work full days
- put up christmas decorations in 3 offices
- attend committee meetings every other day
- design teaser cards
- gather materials for the party venue deco
- shoot a video for the opening gambit
- write a script (because i was also chosen to MC) AND
- figure out a costume to wear

is bloody exhausting. kinda makes you dread christmas. 4 more days till the party. it'd be a lot more fun if we had more time to organise things (and moolah too!)

i'm rather worried about the MC-ing part. this is the girl who gets nervous and blanks out when she has to present to just three people. what if i blurt out something stupid like, "well we all know the boss is a conman who can't drink but pretends to anyway. and he talks big for someone so small."

that would be really career limiting.

finally went for a shoot this morning with jacky and his friend pete, after months of procrastination. i have a new found admiration for models. it's not as easy as it looks.

oh. time to go!! going to bar club for a night out with fellow saggitarians. =D

taste of japan

alvin won a voucher for a 2D 1N stay at Palace of the Golden Horses months and months ago, so we decided to use it this weekend.

truthfully, i was expecting a small, old, dingy room dressed with the bare neccessities. we were pleasantly surprised. it was an old but big room with a huge king sized bed, big bathroom and amongst the complimentary toiletries they provided - was shoe shine.

kind of indicates that they gave us a business suite. that, plus the executive desk in the corner of the room.

but the room is really nothing to shout about. it's the japanese restaurant downstairs that alvin and i have fallen in love with. we decided to go for the buffet at kin no uma. it's rm69+ per head. not much more than rakuzen, but the food is fresher, better, tastier.

and because it's all the way out in the mines, it's quieter. so you don't have to fight the crowd for that piece of sashimi. the good thing is, they only prepare a few at a time, so you never have to pick up a piece of sushi that's been sitting there for hours while the rice becomes rock hard and the fish looks like it's half-rotten.

the oysters. oh my god. the oysters are huge. i regret not taking my camera. i guess you'll just have to go and see for yourself. totally recommended.

digital flasher

a few mornings ago, i logged into msn. Ons messaged me.

ons: guess what happened?
me: what?
ons: i added someone on msn and it was this guy. he said he was gay and he turned on his webcam and showed me his giant albino snake (eg. cock)
me: hahaha serves you right. who asked you to simply add people?
ons: i thought it might be a hot chick ma...
me: -_- idiot

so. beware who you add on msn, people. we don't just have to worry about flashers on the street anymore. we now have new age flashers.

the digital flashers.

fortunately, we can avoid this from happening by adding only people you are SURE you know. too bad we can't hit a delete button for all the dodgy people we see on the streets. hmmm... then again. alot of my friends might go missing then. =p

hellooooo? helloooo? helloooo?

i hear myself echoing in the emptiness. it's like stepping into an abandoned house.

i don't know where to start, so i'll just start with today.

on the way to lunch, LoudMel and i were walking down a sloped road to her car. we were happily trotting away until my shoe lost grip and i slipped and fell. i managed to stub and scrape my toes, my knee and my hands.

i felt like a small kid. quite the embarassings.

when was the last time YOU fell down? when you were a kid, you'd be happy if you got through a day without scrapes and bruises. i almost forgot what it was like to fall. i guess i've just been reminded.

moral of the story- don't buy vincci shoes unless you want to embarass yourself.

throughout the year, i've been complaining i needed a holiday.

in the last two months, i've been on four trips. it's depressing to know that the stint is over. =( no holiday til february. hee hee. off to krabi!!

first it was langkawi. then siem reap. then phuket. then singapore.

a whole year has gone by so quickly and before we know it, it's almost christmas!! not forgetting my birthday will be coming up.

so many birthdays have been and gone without me even realising it. to all whose birthdays i have missed... i'm so sorry. you know what i'm like with dates. so i can't expect everyone to bother with mine either. i need an organiser.

just for fucks, i'm going to post up a wishlist. since i know no one really reads this site anymore, it's more an inventory for myself... and the few stragglers still loitering around. =p

all i want for christmas/birthday:

• air asia travel vouchers for next yr's travel stint
• ikea vouchers to furnish my room in the new house
• sexy new underwear for a sexy new year
• a new job i'll love
• ipod touch
• lots of yummy food
• lots of good memories
